As a Senior Product Manager specializing in Open Banking, you will spearhead transformative projects designed to elevate Monzo’s Open Banking services. As an essential part of our product team, you will establish strategic direction and ensure impactful execution while navigating complex stakeholder dynamics across various cross-functional teams.
You will collaborate closely with directors from Product, Engineering, Data, and Design to shape Monzo’s Open Banking strategy and drive innovation as we expand our customer base from 11 million to 20 million.
Your Role Will Include:
- Working in an iterative, collaborative environment alongside design, engineering, research, data science, compliance, and more to fine-tune and implement your vision.
- Guiding the growth and development of existing Open Banking features, including our Connected Accounts and Easy Bank Transfers.
- Leading the planning and prioritization of the roadmap, ensuring alignment with team and business objectives.
- Influencing the overarching product strategy by sharing valuable insights gained from your work.
- Engaging with external Open Banking working groups to represent Monzo’s perspectives on commercial VRPs and multi-lateral agreements.
In this role, you will:
- Represent Monzo in industry Open Banking working groups.
- Steer the strategic direction, balancing long-term goals with immediate objectives.
- Collaborate across teams—engineering, design, data, user research, and marketing—to identify and validate new opportunities.
- Facilitate the planning process and roadmap prioritization, ensuring cohesion with team and wider business goals.
- Create user-friendly solutions that address customer needs and challenges.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery while coordinating with legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs as necessary.
- Communicate effectively, inspiring and sharing relevant information with the right people at the right times.

Here’s what to expect during the interview process:
Our interview framework includes three key stages:
- An Initial Call with the Hiring Manager
- A Final Loop comprised of three hour-long interviews focusing on Project Walkthrough, Case Study, and Leadership
