    In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive multidisciplinary expertise to enhance functional performance by crafting and executing cutting-edge solutions that facilitate the timely delivery of innovative products. As a prominent technical leader, you will operate across group, departmental, and cross-functional levels to define a comprehensive enterprise architecture that aligns IT capabilities with business needs. Your responsibilities will also include managing the interaction between strategic planning, performance management, and investment management. You will have the opportunity to specialize in one of the following areas: Information, Solution, System, User Experience (UX), or Data, and lead the BTS Operations Architecture Community of Practice (CoP).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Innovate and develop architectural models that bolster organizational efficiency, ensuring that process improvements, technology, and information investments align with strategic goals, enabling swift adaptation to market dynamics and new opportunities.
    • Formulate and implement strategic plans in accordance with functional objectives and key business drivers, collaborating with experts to integrate technical goals into initiatives aimed at accelerating product development.
    • Advance and fortify technical proficiency within your function, showcasing leadership by guiding and sharing insights with peers and senior management, while mentoring colleagues to address current and emerging challenges.
    • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of major project plans by employing sound design principles, conducting early risk assessments, and implementing contingency strategies.
    • Provide strategic consultancy to clients by designing business processes and identifying enabling technologies that meet their specific requirements. Stay ahead of emerging technological trends through comprehensive research and assessment.
    • Drive strategic business thinking to maximize the value of investments, employing creativity to devise innovative and improved methodologies that resonate with stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with affiliates, vendors, and industry partners in alignment with AbbVie’s core values and operational standards.
    • Present technological insights and outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences, amplifying the impact and value of your expertise.
    • Uphold corporate compliance with all applicable policies and standards, including safety protocols, GxP regulations, and data security measures.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 9 years; or a PhD with at least 5 years of experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in complex business environments adhering to Enterprise Architecture frameworks, ideally within healthcare, laboratory diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceutical sectors.
    • Background in diverse IT roles encompassing technical functions, application development, business systems, and data management. Experience in IT strategy formulation, product evaluations, and managing multifaceted teams across divisions.
    • Proven track record of innovation, having successfully implemented new or enhanced technological solutions that contribute significantly to organizational productivity, along with a strong ability to influence technology decisions.

    Additional Information:

    For applicants located in jurisdictions that require pay disclosures, the compensation range outlined is the anticipated base pay for this position based on job grade at the time of posting. Individual salaries may vary based on several factors including geographical location.
