The Role

In the R&D Consulting division at Veeva, we blend strategy and operations with cutting-edge data and technology. Establishing a top-tier R&D consulting practice is a crucial priority for us, gaining visibility both internally and throughout the broader Life Sciences sector.

As a Principal at the forefront of digital innovation in Life Sciences, you will play a vital role in expanding our practice across Europe. Your primary focus will be on enhancing our market presence, cultivating customer relationships, and identifying new projects to assist our clients in navigating complex business challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Drive business development initiatives by spotting and generating new project opportunities, innovatively addressing client challenges, formulating compelling proposals, and securing new projects.
• Utilize your professional network to uncover opportunities and foster business development while building new relationships.
• Serve as the R&D consulting lead for one of our major enterprise accounts.
• Establish and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as the go-to resource for both strategic and tactical inquiries.
• Contribute to the development of new campaigns, offerings, and thought leadership that sets R&D consulting apart in the market.
• Oversee multiple project engagement teams, empowering members to effectively plan and manage project delivery from scope definition to quality assurance.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in management and R&D consulting.
• Background in the Life Sciences arena with a strong emphasis on clinical operations.
• A robust network of influential stakeholders within leadership positions at the Top 20 Life Sciences companies.
• Demonstrated credibility and experience engaging with senior-level Life Sciences clients.
• A proven ability to initiate and cultivate high-value customer engagements.
• Experience in developing and implementing digital transformation strategies and R&D innovation programs.
• Comprehensive understanding of the entire R&D value chain.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in multiple European languages (such as German, French, or Spanish) in addition to English.
• Experience with various digital technologies, including platforms, analytics tools, and emerging tech.
• Familiarity with Veeva’s broad array of platforms and solutions and how they can be enhanced through R&D consulting services.
• Previous experience with SaaS solutions.
• Certification in any relevant Veeva R&D products.
