About the Role
As a Senior Manager, People Partner, you will be an integral part of our People and Operations team, providing essential HR business partnership to the Engineering division while spearheading our Compensation and Benefits initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, your role will encompass strategic collaboration with engineering leaders to drive talent management and ensure our compensation strategies align with our organizational goals. You will be pivotal in refining our offerings to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and supportive of our diverse workforce. Your expertise in scaling HR procedures within a dynamic startup environment will be crucial as we continue to expand. You thrive when faced with challenges in a fast-paced, evolving atmosphere.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Talent Management:
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering leadership to discern business objectives, aligning HR strategies accordingly.
- Offer insights and recommendations on workforce planning, organizational structure, and talent development.
- Facilitate the implementation of key People programs within the engineering sector, including talent reviews and succession planning to cultivate future leaders.
- Champion career development initiatives that empower both employees and managers to achieve their professional aspirations.
- Effectively address employee relations challenges by collaborating with managers and staff members as necessary.
Compensation Strategy & Benefits Program Management:
- Craft and execute compensation frameworks and programs designed to attract, motivate, and retain top talent.
- Conduct thorough market analyses and benchmarking to ensure our pay practices remain competitive.
- Collaborate with leadership to define salary ranges, incentive programs, and pay equity measures.
- Direct the creation and management of holistic benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and leave policies.
- Assess and negotiate with vendors to ensure our benefits offerings are top-notch, catering to employee needs while staying within budget.
- Stay informed on benefits trends and regulations to maintain compliance and competitiveness.
- Partner with finance and leadership on managing compensation budgets and forecasting.
- Design and enforce policies and procedures pertaining to compensation and benefits.
Culture & Engagement:
- Promote a workplace culture centered on inclusion, innovation, and teamwork.
- Devise and implement initiatives that boost employee engagement and enhance morale within engineering teams.
- Gather and analyze employee feedback to foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of HR experience, particularly focused on HRBP support with technical or engineering teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in startup or high-growth settings, with a robust understanding of scaling HR practices.
- Deep knowledge and practical experience in compensation structures and benefits design.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building relationships across all organizational levels.
- Strategic mindset combined with a proactive approach and a passion for developing people.
- Adept at problem-solving and utilizing data to influence decisions.
- Flexible team player with a results-oriented focus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Genuine enthusiasm for our mission and a commitment to making Renew Home a remarkable place to work.
- A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
