    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create and refine processes for delivering scalable legal advice across the Monzo Group.
    • Provide training and share insights from your expertise to educate the broader team on insurance matters.
    • Manage relationships with external legal counsel, ensuring optimal use of our legal budget concerning insurance issues.

    Qualifications:

    • A solid background in advising on general and/or life insurance, with at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience or its equivalent.
    • Strong technical skills and deep knowledge of regulatory and commercial aspects of general insurance and insurance distribution, ideally with experience in both private practice and in-house roles at a financial institution or fintech.
    • A collaborative and goal-oriented mindset, passionate about driving change and achieving impactful results.
    • Exceptional communication skills along with a strategic approach to problem-solving and risk assessment.
    • Willingness to tackle a variety of legal challenges, proactively seeking solutions and judiciously engaging external counsel when necessary.
    • Comfort in interacting across all organizational levels, including executives, while connecting with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
    • An appreciation for diverse perspectives and a critical mindset that isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo.
    • A genuine curiosity about the intersection of banking and technology, with a passion for the innovative work happening at Monzo.
