Join the dynamic world of cybersecurity with CrowdStrike, a frontrunner dedicated to safeguarding the essential people, processes, and technologies that keep modern organizations thriving. Since our inception in 2011, our unwavering mission has been to halt breaches and transform the security landscape with our cutting-edge AI-driven platform. Our diverse clientele across various industries trusts us to ensure their business continuity and community safety. As a mission-driven organization, we’re committed to nurturing a culture where every CrowdStriker enjoys the autonomy and flexibility to shape their career path. If you have a burning passion for innovation and a deep commitment to customer and community success, we want you on our team. The future of cybersecurity is in your hands!

    About Our Team:

Welcome to the OverWatch Labs (OWL) team, where we are crafting the next-generation infrastructure and security platform at CrowdStrike. Our team empowers analysts within OverWatch to hunt for and identify potential threats across a staggering volume of daily events, currently reaching trillions and continuously expanding.

We are on the lookout for a skilled engineer eager to advance the OWL platform as we scale new heights. If you possess a diverse skill set across the software stack and excel in clear communication, you will thrive in our collaborative environment. Your passion for large-scale, distributed, cloud-based systems that can seamlessly process massive volumes of events will be key.

    Our Culture:

Stay humble. Stay positive. Stay hungry.

    • Passion-driven: Our love for our work drives us to create significant impacts on a global scale.

    • Strong work ethic: We believe in hard work complemented by smart strategies; dedication is paramount.

    • Collaborative spirit: We share our successes and failures, learning from each other and fostering personal growth.

    • Curiosity: A willingness to learn and seek understanding is essential; we encourage inquiry and knowledge discovery.

    • Adaptability: Embrace the unexpected: be ready to tackle any task that furthers team success, from data entry to advanced research design.

    Your Role:

As an engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining robust data platforms and tools for our team. A solid understanding of algorithms, software engineering, and operational research will set you up for success. We seek individuals with a strong technical foundation who are eager to learn and communicate effectively with the team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with OverWatch engineering team members to design, develop, and maintain operational systems and tools.

    • Engage in projects aimed at developing new system components and enhancing existing frameworks.

    • Boost the effectiveness of the OverWatch team’s analysis and hunting efforts by enhancing tools and the platform.

    • Transition research projects into production environments and integrate them with OWL systems.

    • Participate in a DevOps culture, taking ownership of your deployments and participating in on-call duties.

    • Exhibit proactive ownership of deliverables and embrace accountability.

    • Driven by a passion for quality, you will identify the tools and processes needed to elevate team standards.

    • An adaptable engineer, you will continually pursue learning and relish solving complex challenges.

    • Contribute to and benefit from the open-source community.

    • Work effectively as part of a diverse, remote team spread across different time zones.

    • Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases (experience with Redis, Postgres, Cassandra, ElasticSearch is a plus).

    • Knowledge of messaging and queueing solutions; Kafka experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

    • Linux expertise within large-scale, mission-critical environments.

    • Understanding of distributed systems and the challenges of scalability, especially in cloud platforms like AWS.

    • A proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative programming environment.
