We are partnering with a prominent financial services firm to recruit a talented Senior Control Assurance Assessor for an initial 12-month contract. This fully remote role provides a unique chance to engage in significant security programs within a vibrant, high-achieving environment.

Role Summary:
As a Senior Control Assurance Assessor, you will be instrumental in ensuring that security measures—both on-premises and in the cloud—are proficiently designed, implemented, and functioning to safeguard vital business assets. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing comprehensive security control assessments, pinpointing risks and control weaknesses, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement enhancements.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a cooperative security assurance team on large-scale global projects, leveraging advanced automation, data-driven methodologies, and the most recent technologies.

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct security control assessments across both on-prem and cloud infrastructures
• Create test plans, test cases, and procedures aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Utilize security tools and data analytics to collect and verify control evidence
• Identify, document, and communicate control deficiencies, offering actionable recommendations
• Engage with key business stakeholders, providing updates and sharing testing insights
• Participate in peer reviews and aid in the continuous improvement of control testing methodologies

Required Skills & Experience:

• Over 8 years of experience in Information Security or IT, including more than 3 years in IT Audit or security control evaluation
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, COBIT
• Practical experience using RSA Archer, ServiceNow, and knowledge of automation and data-driven testing
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and their security controls
• Relevant certifications like CISA, CISM, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor are a plus
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating technical findings into business language
• Experience with Agile practices (Kanban, Jira) is advantageous
