Your Responsibilities:
Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of our data ecosystem—this includes mastering tools such as Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL—to ensure efficient operation and automation of well-configured clusters.
Design and implement infrastructure services that empower our engineering team in their journey toward a fully integrated DevOps model.
Collaborate closely with Engineering and Customer Support teams to address urgent production issues promptly, no matter when they arise.
Safeguard petabytes of mission-critical business data, ensuring it remains secure, accessible, and reliable.
What You’ll Bring:
Experience with configuration management tools like Chef or Salt, or robust proficiency in Ruby.
A strong background in large-scale datastore technologies, including Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL.
Proficiency in managing business-critical Linux environments at scale.
Hands-on experience with cloud operations, particularly within the Amazon Web Services ecosystem.
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with local and remote teams alike.
A history of making sound decisions, especially in high-pressure situations.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
A balance of self-confidence and independence, coupled with the wisdom to seek assistance when necessary.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
