We are dedicated to facilitating revenue and customer scale via a robust self-service banking platform that handles all payments, whether via card, bank transfer, within the UK, or internationally. Collaborating closely with our Retail and Business Banking collectives, we ensure that our payment processes are both delightful and dependable.

    Your Role and Responsibilities

We are in search of a Lead Product Manager specializing in Acquiring to enhance how our business customers accept card payments in shops, restaurants, and beyond. In this pivotal role, you will lead one or more cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch a brand-new product that empowers small businesses to maximize their capabilities with Monzo. You will be instrumental in shaping the product strategy, developing value propositions, enhancing payment functionalities, crafting user experiences, and establishing a support network to ensure seamless card payment transactions. This is an opportunity to take a product from concept to launch and scale its impact.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Craft the Product Strategy: Develop a comprehensive product strategy guided by customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives. Transform long-term vision into actionable, iterative plans to deliver an unparalleled customer experience.
    • Deliver an Exceptional Product: Take the helm as the hands-on product manager for your team, organizing and prioritizing work across multiple streams to refine our product lineup in alignment with our Business Banking services.
    • Foster Seamless Collaboration: Engage in iterative collaboration with design, engineering, research, data science, product marketing, compliance, and external stakeholders to refine and implement your strategy effectively.
    • Communicate with Impact: Inspire stakeholders with your compelling product vision, ensuring the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
    • Launch, Iterate, and Expand: Break down large projects into smaller deliverables, using a data-driven and customer-focused approach to measure product impact and iteratively enhance offerings.

    Who We’re Looking For:

    • You are a skilled product manager with proven experience launching exceptional products from concept to market in a fast-paced environment.
    • Your background includes leading payment or card products for business clients that deliver substantial value.
    • You possess exceptional problem-solving abilities, leveraging data and insights to establish a bold long-term vision and achieve tangible results iteratively.
    • With strong judgment, you navigate complex situations effectively, often where there’s no clear answer.
    • Your creativity drives you to improve the status quo, encouraging innovative ideas and solutions from your team.
    • You are data-driven, with experience collaborating with data scientists to outline key metrics, conduct experiments, and deliver significant business outcomes.
    • You thrive in a diverse environment, adeptly working with a variety of teams – from engineering to user research – to accomplish shared objectives.
    • As a great storyteller, you motivate and energize your team toward unified goals.
    • You are passionate about adding value for customers while excited about our mission at Monzo.
    • You embrace transparency regarding performance, relying on data to evaluate success and constantly seeking improvement.
    • Your curiosity fuels your desire to learn and share knowledge daily.

Our interview process typically comprises three main stages:

    1. An Initial Call with the Hiring Manager.
    2. A Final Loop, including three hour-long interviews assessing Project Walkthrough, Case Study, and Leadership skills.

Our average timeline for the process is about 4-6 weeks, with flexibility around your availability. You’ll have multiple opportunities to connect with our recruitment team throughout your journey, and we encourage you to reach out with any inquiries beforehand.

    What We Offer:

    • Assistance with relocation to the UK, including visa sponsorship.
    • The role can be performed in our London office or in a distributed manner within the UK, with monthly in-person meetings in London.
