CrowdStrike is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Engineer to join our Data Services team and elevate our database systems to new heights. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of our data components, including Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, and leverage this knowledge to manage and automate well-configured clusters.

• Create infrastructure services that empower the CrowdStrike engineering team to fully embrace a DevOps model.

• Collaboratively troubleshoot urgent production issues alongside Engineering and Customer Support, ensuring swift resolution at any hour.

• Safeguard petabytes of vital business data, ensuring its security, availability, and integrity.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in configuration management tools (Chef or Salt) or strong proficiency in Ruby.

• Experience handling large-scale datastores with technologies such as Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL.

• Proven track record in managing large-scale, critical Linux environments.

• Experience working within cloud ecosystems, with a preference for Amazon Web Services.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both local and remote teams.

• A history of making sound decisions under pressure.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• A balance of confidence and independence, with the wisdom to seek assistance from your team when needed.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Engineering.
