Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Survey Technician to join client’s survey team. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in Microstation, Projectwise, TopoDot, and AutoCAD software, and demonstrate a strong understanding of land surveying principles and techniques. This position plays a critical role in supporting our ongoing projects, and ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of survey data to our clients.
Job Responsibilities :
• Perform complex data processing tasks utilizing Microstation, TopoDot, and AutoCAD software for a variety of survey projects, including topographic, boundary, and route surveys.
• Interpret and analyze field data, including point clouds, aerial imagery, and LiDAR data, to generate accurate and detailed survey drawings and maps.
• Collaborate with field survey crews and project managers to ensure the efficient and accurate collection, processing, and delivery of survey data.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data and deliverables.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices for land surveying and geospatial data processing.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and schedules for survey projects.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of survey processes and procedures through research, innovation, and adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a survey technician, with a focus on Projectwise, Microstation, TopoDot, and AutoCAD software.
• Strong working knowledge of land surveying principles, techniques, and industry standards.
• Experience with point cloud data processing and manipulation, particularly in the context of topographic and boundary surveys.
• Proficient in using GPS, total stations, and other survey equipment for data collection.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
