Join our dynamic team as a Business Development Associate, where you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Tapcheck’s innovative financial wellness platform. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Business Development, focusing on cultivating partner relationships and harnessing industry expertise to identify, initiate, and support the successful closure of major employer opportunities with an annual contract value of six figures and beyond.
Although this position does not involve direct deal closure, your contributions will be vital in facilitating seamless communication, coordinating efforts among internal teams, and delivering essential support to maximize favorable outcomes. This opportunity promises substantial growth potential and serves as an ideal stepping stone toward more advanced positions, such as Account Executive, within our organization.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Duties:
- Establish and nurture relationships with intermediaries, centers of influence, and partners to source significant employer opportunities.
- Organize, document, and follow up on meeting outcomes, ensuring all action items are completed promptly.
- Facilitate communication between Channel and Direct Sales teams, assist in scheduling demos, and engage relevant stakeholders to enhance the likelihood of successful closures.
- Utilize partner connections to pinpoint lucrative employer opportunities across targeted industries.
- Support collaborative sales initiatives between Tapcheck and its partners, promoting alignment and cooperation on key accounts.
- Create presentations and sales materials on short notice to enhance Tapcheck’s visibility among intermediaries, driving referrals to our Enterprise Sales team.
- Additional Tasks:
- Gather and share industry insights to inform our teams and aid product innovation.
- Identify and propose demand generation activities, such as prospect-facing events and webinars, for execution by Partner Marketing.
- Track key performance metrics, providing updates and refining strategies to meet or exceed support objectives.
- Work with internal teams and partners to review sales contracts, ensuring they align with company goals and enhance the likelihood of closing deals.
Your Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in business development or sales within a fast-paced B2B SaaS or fintech context, specifically focusing on large employer or partnership opportunities.
- A demonstrated history of supporting the sourcing and advancement of six-figure deals, ideally in the financial wellness or HR tech sectors.
- Exceptional networking and relationship-building capabilities, with a knack for collaborating effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
- A proactive, self-driven attitude with the ability to operate autonomously and thrive in a minimally supervised environment.
- Strong abilities to collaborate across functions and manage communications among multiple teams.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with a keen focus on follow-up.

Compensation: Expect a base salary between $70,000 and $75,000 along with bonuses. The exact pay will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and location. Tapcheck reserves the right to adjust compensation ranges and benefits at any time.
