    Position Overview:

    This role is based in St. Augustine, FL, and candidates should be prepared to relocate—relocation assistance will be provided.

    As a Surveying Project Manager at JBPro, you will take the reins in managing surveying projects and lead one of our project teams within the Surveying Department. Reporting directly to the Director of Surveying, you will ensure projects are executed efficiently, adhere to regulatory standards, and meet industry benchmarks.

    In this pivotal role, you will assist the Director by scheduling surveying crews, conducting quality assurance for project deliverables, and facilitating collaboration among staff, clients, subcontractors, and government entities. Independent decision-making in project management is essential, all while aligning with the department’s strategic goals. Join us and contribute to making a lasting impact in the community.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Develop comprehensive work plans for each project, detailing scope, timelines, and resource needs.
    • Organize and oversee project activities and team members to promote efficiency and on-time delivery.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Surveying in crafting proposals, pricing, and client communications as needed.
    • Lead field crews and CAD Technicians, offering direction and ensuring the highest quality of work.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, providing project status updates and addressing concerns.
    • Review and process field data daily, coordinating with CAD technicians for further processing.
    • Facilitate onboarding and continuous training for field crew personnel to enhance their skills and uphold organizational standards.
    • Adapt to both field and office tasks to fulfill project requirements while demonstrating flexibility in dynamic project environments.
    • Identify and resolve project challenges proactively to ensure steady project advancement.
    • Scrutinize survey drawings for accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
    • Manage survey deliverables and invoicing logistics, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
    • Take charge of the financial performance of survey projects and prepare additional service proposals when necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
    • 5 years of surveying experience, with a minimum of 3 years focusing on field surveying preferred.
    • Possession of a PSM or PLS license in Florida.
    • Strong AutoCAD skills; familiarity with Civil3D is a plus.
    • Competence in Trimble Business Center or equivalent survey processing software.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a keen ability for client interaction and business development.
    • Physical capability to perform field surveying activities.
    • A valid driver’s license accompanied by a clean driving record.
