Position Overview: BMS Design Engineer
In light of ongoing success and project growth, our client is on the lookout for an accomplished BMS Design Engineer who will be integral to the execution of medium to large-scale projects throughout the UK. This role covers the full spectrum of BMS system design, starting from initial project scope to comprehensive handover documentation. The responsibilities include formulating control strategies, drafting panel designs, establishing hardware and software frameworks, and developing graphical interface solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
Produce comprehensive BMS designs based on client requirements
Develop control panel designs, hardware arrangements, and software/graphics packages
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to guarantee project consistency
Perform site surveys and assist throughout various project phases
Uphold compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations
Generate BMS system strategy documents and finalize handover packs
Qualifications:
HNC qualification in a relevant engineering field as a minimum
Demonstrated experience in BMS/control system design (including Siemens, Trend, or Honeywell systems)
In-depth understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems
Ability to conduct site surveys and engage with live equipment
Adaptable to hybrid work structures and willing to undertake occasional site visits
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
Authorized to work in the UK and prepared for security screening
