    The expected salary for this position ranges from $158,000.00 to $198,000.00, tailored to the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate, as well as an analysis of competitive compensation within their geographical area for similar roles.     SUMMARY:

    We are in search of a seasoned professional to oversee and enhance our fraud prevention framework and strategies for our unsecured consumer personal loan offerings. As the authority on fraud within this domain, you will craft data-driven strategies to mitigate fraud risk, collaborate with cross-departmental teams, and ensure adherence to audit standards. Key responsibilities will include monitoring fraud loss rates, refining critical metrics, exploring innovative solutions, and spearheading process improvements to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee and develop fraud prevention infrastructure and strategies for unsecured consumer personal loans.

    • Act as the subject matter expert on fraud relating to unsecured consumer personal loans across the organization.

    • Create data-driven fraud risk strategies and controls addressing various types of first- and third-party fraud, including identity theft and scams.

    • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to devise, design, and monitor fraud strategies that effectively mitigate risk.

    • Establish and maintain dashboards to provide insights into fraud loss rates by type.

    • Implement data-driven methods for reviewing fraud cases.

    • Enhance fundamental metrics related to fraud rates, incidents, and customer experience over time, responding proactively to improvement signals.

    • Identify and evaluate new approaches, data sources, and potential partnerships to enhance existing programs, applying these innovations as necessary.

    • Work with the fraud operations team to implement the fraud risk policy and procedures.

    • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit policies and requirements in all areas of responsibility.

    • Lead process enhancements, including efficiency evaluations, cost-benefit analyses, process mapping, workflow evaluations, and process re-engineering.

    • Prepare and present departmental reporting on volumes, effectiveness, and project updates, particularly in support of performance and conversion efforts.

    POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

    • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.

    • 7+ years of experience in Fraud Strategy.

    • In-depth knowledge of the unsecured consumer personal loan sector within Fraud Strategy.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.

    • Proficiency in Data Science tools such as SQL, Python, BigQuery, or SAS.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of effectively conveying information to senior leadership.

    • Willingness to work flexible hours and to travel as needed.

    • Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.

    • A Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar) is preferred.

    • Highly analytical mindset with keen attention to detail while maintaining a broader perspective.
