    Member Engagement Specialist Role

    In this pivotal position, you’ll be instrumental in delivering telephonic screening services to Medicare Advantage beneficiaries enrolled in BeneLynk partnered plans. As a Member Engagement Specialist, you will proactively connect with beneficiaries to verify their Veteran status and assist them with benefits provided by the Department of Veteran Affairs as well as other resources.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Achieve production and departmental objectives by answering incoming calls and conducting telephonic outreach to assess Medicare Advantage plan members’ eligibility for VA-sponsored Veteran Support initiatives using various techniques (mailer, phone, etc.).
    • Guide beneficiaries through their benefits and provide assistance with social programs.
    • Consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics, ensuring adherence to schedules and call availability.
    • Maintain quality standards through professional phone etiquette, precise case documentation, and effective case disposition.
    • Review and respond to member correspondence and inquiries to retrieve essential charts from VA facilities.
    • Conduct follow-ups on inquiries processed through BeneLynk Outreach initiatives.
    • Stay informed on state and federal regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all outreach operations.
    • Play an active role in staff and operational development programs, fostering a spirit of teamwork and open communication.
    • Embody the values and mission of BeneLynk through your professional conduct.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
    • Experience: Experience with direct consumer interactions and prior telephone sales experience, including strong persuasive skills and data entry capabilities.
    • Language Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable communicating with elderly populations. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze program criteria and interpret information through phone conversations and correspondence inquiries. Excellent judgment, research, and people skills are essential.
    • Technology: Reliable high-speed internet connection is required.
    • Remote Work Environment: Establish a quiet, clean, and safe work environment with adequate lighting in your home.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged Sitting: Ability to sustain sitting for extended periods.
    • Computer Use: Proficiency with keyboarding, accessing information online, and using CRM systems.
    • Communication: Clarity in speaking and active listening, particularly while juggling multiple tasks.
    • Mobility: Occasional walking and reaching for supplies may be necessary.
    • Lifting: Light lifting may sometimes be required.
    • Vision: Good visual acuity for screen work is necessary; regular breaks are advised.
    • Audio: Strong listening and communication skills are essential for interactions and training.

    Attendance Expectations:

    Consistent and reliable attendance is crucial. New hires must attend the initial training session without exception.

    The next New Hire Training class begins on July 7, 2025, and will run through August 1, 2025, scheduled Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time.

    Work Environment:

    This is a remote role with no ability to support employment internationally or outside of Puerto Rico or specified states. Remote work must occur from a designated home office.

    Position Type/Hours:

    • Full-time / Non-Exempt (Hourly)
    • Hours flexible, ranging from $18.00 to $19.50 per hour based on experience. Opportunity to earn an additional $2 per hour based on performance milestones.
