Role Overview

• Drafting comprehensive bills of costs for a variety of cases, including personal injury claims, industrial disease matters, commercial disputes, clinical negligence issues, and credit claims.
• Creating detailed schedules of costs and preparation statements for court trials.
• Delivering cost advice to clients through written communication or phone consultations regarding settlement recoveries and technical cost issues.
• Drafting and negotiating Cost Budgets, preparing necessary documentation for CCMC, and providing advocacy during CCMC/CMC hearings related to Cost Budgets and procedural directions.
• Performing routine file reviews using Proclaim to ensure the timely advancement of matters while achieving daily chargeable time and annual billing objectives set by management.

Qualifications Needed:

• Demonstrated expertise in cost drafting, paired with a thorough understanding of diverse types of legal cases.
• Skilled in using a case management system and proficient in Costs Master (cost drafting software).
