Your Role:
This is not your typical BDM position; you won’t be directly selling travel. Instead, you’ll utilize your extensive travel industry background and adept coaching skills to foster success among a group of 60-80 independent Travel Consultants (TCs).
You will serve as a trusted advisor, empowering them to evolve not just as agents but as confident entrepreneurs equipped with the mindset and strategies for sustainable success.
Your Contributions:
- Guide and mentor Travel Consultants in managing their businesses, covering operations and growth strategies
- Deliver personalized one-on-one coaching and group sessions tailored to each consultant’s objectives and business phases
- Assist TCs in enhancing sales performance, lead generation, marketing strategies, and customer retention
- Help them translate travel knowledge into commercial success and loyal clientele
- Serve as a source of motivation, business insight, and problem-solving assistance
- Cultivate a community of support and loyalty among your TC group
- Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for growth, and provide constructive, supportive feedback
- Conduct virtual workshops and contribute to the development of coaching programs
- Occasionally visit the Bournemouth HQ or participate in international training retreats
This fully remote role allows flexibility in managing your schedule while ensuring participation in daily meetings, one-on-ones, and team updates. You may need to offer support to Travel Consultants outside regular hours, so being comfortable with evening or weekend coaching sessions is essential.
About You:
We seek an individual with robust travel industry experience and a proven track record in mentoring or coaching business owners.
Essential Qualifications:
- Extensive background in the travel sector, ideally in various capacities (e.g., sales, operations, agency management, or franchise support)
- Demonstrated success in coaching or mentoring others towards achievement
- Proven ability to guide small business owners or franchisees effectively
- Commercially savvy with a strong understanding of business scaling
- Confidence in utilizing data, CRM systems, and digital tools to boost performance
- Excellent knowledge of social media and marketing strategies for generating leads
- Outstanding communication skills for one-on-one and group engagements
- A proactive, people-centered leadership style
Desirable Extras:
- ILM Level 5 or equivalent coaching qualification
- Experience in running a travel business or franchise
- Background in digital marketing or brand development
