The Role:
As a Pilot at Skyports, your typical day could include:
- Travelling to Scandinavia to remotely operate state-of-the-art drone technology for businesses in challenging locations like the North Sea, including oil rigs.
- Operating from our Remote Operations Centre in Manchester, where you’ll pilot a diverse range of aircraft globally, all from a centralized control environment.
- Compiling reports and managing operational administration tasks related to flight operations while working remotely from home.
- Launching drones in various African regions to deliver essential medical supplies to underserved locations.
- Engaging in continuous skill development at our Wescott command centre, receiving training from leading BVLOS drone experts.
About You:
You are a licensed Remote Pilot with expertise in mission planning and a deep enthusiasm for drone technology. Your knowledge extends beyond piloting to understanding the mechanics and maintenance of drones.
A proactive and inventive problem-solver, you thrive in fast-paced settings. Whether conducting risk assessments, crafting Concept of Operations (ConOps), or ensuring compliance with safety standards, you are always prepared for the next challenge.
A collaborative team player with inherent leadership qualities, you excel in both giving and receiving guidance. You possess the capability to articulate intricate ideas clearly, shaped by your previous experience as a team leader or operations supervisor, enabling you to motivate and direct a team during complex missions.
