Position Overview
Join our team as a skilled Remote Commercial Drywall Estimator with expertise in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid software. This essential role involves the precise preparation of detailed estimates for commercial drywall projects, contributing to both competitiveness and profitability, all from the comfort of your remote workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft detailed and precise estimates for materials and labor related to commercial drywall, including metal framing, insulation, and acoustical ceiling systems.
- Leverage On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid for efficient digital takeoffs and to create comprehensive bid proposals.
- Dive into blueprints, specifications, and related documentation to generate thorough cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers for accurate pricing and project insights.
- Oversee the bidding process from initial inquiry to project award.
- Maintain and refine historical cost databases and pricing tools to ensure accuracy.
- Engage in virtual meetings and contribute to bid reviews as required.
- Identify and suggest cost-saving measures while maintaining high project quality standards.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial drywall estimation.
- Expertise in utilizing On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid software is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of drywall, metal stud framing, insulation, and acoustic ceiling systems.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical prowess.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Meticulous attention to detail and robust organizational skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, though not mandatory.
