    Position Overview

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    As a key player in our remote camp operations, the Housekeeper position at Horizon North—part of our esteemed brand known for excellence in remote camp catering—demands your attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness at our facilities. Reporting to the Lead Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or Lodge Manager, you will help ensure a spotless environment in a rotational role that spans 14 days of work followed by 14 days off, all within a remote camp setting.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include:

    • Conducting thorough cleanings of up to 50 rooms daily, adapting to client occupancy levels.
    • Providing comprehensive housekeeping services in guest rooms and common areas.
    • Performing daily bed-making and weekly linen changes, or as required.
    • Vacuuming and dusting furniture, blinds, and hallways.
    • Sanitizing bathrooms, windows, and mirrors to ensure sparkling cleanliness.
    • Managing waste disposal in all sleeping quarters, encompassing trash and recycling.
    • Washing and folding towels, linens, and bedding efficiently.
    • Handling the logistics of loading and unloading laundry and linen trucks, alongside other supplies.
    • Keeping accurate records of bedding allocation within the lodge and assisting with inventory oversight, promptly reporting any discrepancies to the Lodge Manager.

    Qualifications: Who We’re Looking For

    • Preferably, you possess some background in housekeeping or janitorial work.
    • You are familiar with housekeeping protocols, cleaning agents, products, and equipment.
    • Experience in a remote lodge, hotel, or institutional setting is advantageous; commercial cleaning experience is a plus.
    • Fluency in English, accompanied by strong written and verbal communication skills, is essential.
    • You thrive both independently and as a collaborative team member, eager to contribute with minimal supervision.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Comfort in climbing both ladders and stairs.
    • Capacity to stand, walk, squat, kneel, or sit for extended periods based on the task at hand.
    • Detailing tasks that require repetitive hand motion and the use of both hands.
    • Willingness to work with arms raised above shoulder height.
