    Job Description

    We are excited to announce an opportunity for a licensed attorney in New Jersey to join our dynamic and growing remote practice, where our primary focus centers around employment law. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a robust foundation in general litigation, alongside substantial experience specifically in employment law.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Overseeing a varied caseload with an emphasis on employment law, managing cases related to discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, wrongful termination, FMLA, ADA, and more.
    • Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to address complex employment law challenges.
    • Drafting and preparing essential legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and various correspondence pertinent to employment litigation independently.
    • Leading and defending depositions, showcasing your expertise in the nuances of employment law discovery.
    • Advocating for clients in court hearings, trials, and arbitrations that pertain to employment-related disputes.
    • Formulating and implementing robust litigation strategies tailored for employment cases.
    • Negotiating settlements and resolutions in employment law matters with skill and tact.
    • Advising clients on employment law compliance, helping them navigate their rights and obligations.
    • Maintaining clear and professional communication with clients, opposing attorneys, and court officials, handling sensitive employment matters with discretion.
    • Fostering collaboration with fellow attorneys and staff, contributing to a supportive and positive team environment.
    • Keeping detailed and organized case files, ensuring accuracy and currency in documentation.
    • Upholding the highest ethical standards and professional guidelines in legal practice.

    Qualifications:

    • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a recognized law school.
    • A valid license to practice law in New Jersey is a must (New York licensure is a plus).
    • A minimum of 5-7 years of litigation experience, with a significant focus on employment law.
    • Proven expertise in various litigation aspects, including depositions, trial preparations, motions, pleadings, discovery, and negotiations specifically within employment law.
    • In-depth knowledge of both state and federal employment laws and regulations, along with a grasp of current trends and developments.
    • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in evaluating complex employment law scenarios.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, especially in conveying intricate legal concepts in an understandable way to clients.
    • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, crucial for effective case management in a remote setting.
    • A proactive, self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to function autonomously in a virtual environment.
    • A commitment to client-centered, responsive legal service.
