  • Location: Fully Remote (Preference for candidates based in North West England)
  • Salary: £18,000 – £24,000 annually (Pro-rata) + Performance-Based Commission
  • Start Date: Immediate openings available for successful candidates
  • Working Hours: Part-Time
  • Working Pattern: Typically 24 to 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling options (3 or 4 days per week) to be discussed during the interview

    As they grow, we are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Sales Representative to spearhead lead generation efforts and bolster business development, directly supporting our distribution centers in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, and surrounding areas.

    Position Overview

    We are in search of a driven and insightful Sales Representative to become part of our remote sales team. This home-based, part-time position centers around discovering and qualifying new business opportunities in the North West region, assisting Sales Managers by arranging qualified appointments.

    The perfect candidate will possess a robust sales background, ideally within the freight forwarding or broader logistics sector, and should be well-versed in the terminology associated with shipping and export operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Initiate daily outbound calls to UK exporters, presenting our comprehensive freight forwarding services.
    • Leverage local market knowledge to introduce and build relationships with key contacts in regional businesses.
    • Meticulously document all interactions and lead activities in the Cargowise CRM system.
    • Qualify potential leads and ensure quality prospects are communicated to Sales Managers for further engagement.
    • Meet and exceed weekly KPIs, including call volumes, leads generated, appointments scheduled, and conversion rates.
    • Engage in daily team meetings and weekly pipeline assessments.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Incoterms, shipping practices, and trends within the freight forwarding industry.

    Requirements

    • Demonstrated experience in sales, inside sales, or lead generation (preferably in logistics or freight forwarding).
    • Good familiarity with logistics or freight industry terminology is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of Incoterms and international shipping protocols is preferred.
    • Experience with CRM systems; familiarity with Cargowise would be a significant advantage.
    • Exceptional communication skills with a confident and professional phone demeanor.
    • Self-starter, highly organized, and adept at working independently in a remote environment.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Attractive base salary: £18,000 – £24,000 per annum (pro-rata based on a full-time equivalent of £30,000) + Commission structure (details to be discussed during the interview).
