The ideal candidate will have a background in supervising accountants and junior analysts. As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and reviewing accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive reports to inform executives and senior management about the company’s financial status.
• Producing timely and precise accounting reports and delivering them to stakeholders.
• Offering insightful recommendations to enhance the company’s accounting systems and identify any discrepancies.
• Providing guidance and consultation on accounting control procedures to company personnel.
• Overseeing the work of accounting assistants and bookkeepers, strategically planning their tasks and responsibilities.
• Contributing to forecasting efforts and establishing financial standards.
• Engaging in departmental goal-setting and participating in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Streamlining the preparation of financial statements and budgets to ensure accuracy and punctuality.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in roles such as Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, Chief Accountant, or Senior Accountant.
• Strong expertise in standard accounting practices.
• Solid experience with general ledger functions and the processes involved in month-end and year-end closing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software platforms, including FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
• A solid understanding of financial accounting statements and business trends.
