    In your role as a Licensed Clinical Therapist / Independent Licensed Therapist, you will address a diverse array of mental health conditions that reflect the unique needs of our patient demographics. You will provide essential behavioral and mental health treatments through individualized and family therapy sessions as required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough outpatient psychiatric evaluations and deliver ongoing psychotherapy.
    • Screen and assess patients for prevalent mental health and substance abuse disorders.
    • Utilize evidence-based treatment methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, to treat a variety of mental health conditions.
    • Monitor patient progress by systematically tracking treatment responses and any changes in clinical symptoms or treatment side effects.
    • Foster strong provider-patient relationships and coordinate effectively with external providers.
    • Represent our practice in community forums, presentations, and lectures.
    • Maintain precise electronic medical records (Athena) and comprehensive clinical documentation, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling discipline.
    • A clear, active, and unrestricted Independent license (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
    • Eligibility for enrollment as a Medicare provider, or ability to opt-out before commencing the new role if applicable.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 2 years of professional social work or clinical experience post-Master’s degree.
    • Proven experience offering direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
    • Proficiency in professional communication and medical documentation using platforms like Excel, Outlook, and Athena RMS (or equivalent EHRs).
    • A demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness.

    The salary for this position ranges from $59,500 to $116,600 annually, based on full-time employment. Compensation will consider several factors including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. UnitedHealth Group adheres to all applicable minimum wage laws.
