Job Description
At Bending Spoons, our mission is to create one of the most remarkable companies in history—one that genuinely serves a vast customer base, cultivates the growth of its team members, operates with unprecedented effectiveness, and delivers exceptional value to our shareholders, all while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
To realize this vision, we implement a unique strategy: we identify promising digital businesses with significant potential and transform their success using our robust platform, which encompasses our expertise, cutting-edge technology, reliable data, strong brand, exceptional talent, and a vibrant company culture. We invest the returns from these ventures into enhancing our platform further and acquiring new businesses, merging the insight of an investor with the hands-on approach of an operator.
For a motivated, skilled, and team-oriented individual, joining Bending Spoons represents a chance to learn, make a significant impact, and rapidly advance your career. That’s our commitment to you.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be responsible for:
- Collaborate with diverse teams across Product, Engineering, and Security to deliver strategic privacy insights, integrate privacy-by-design principles, and convert regulatory mandates into actionable technical solutions.
- Proactively identify privacy risks and opportunities, playing a crucial role in the early development of privacy-compliant tools, features, and processes, and championing ongoing enhancements in data protection practices.
- Oversee all privacy-related legal matters—encompassing the drafting and reviewing of data processing agreements (DPAs), privacy policies, legitimate interest assessments (LIAs), and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs)—to ensure adherence to data protection laws.
- Conduct internal and external privacy audits while managing relationships with external privacy consultants and legal advisors, ensuring cohesive collaboration among business functions and alignment on key privacy decisions.
- Stay informed on the latest privacy regulations, case law, and best practices, disseminating crucial insights internally to guarantee continuous compliance and strategic alignment.
We seek candidates who possess:
- Exceptional reasoning abilities. You can tackle complex challenges with your knowledge, logically structure your thoughts, and discern important details while resisting bias.
- A strong drive. You’re deeply ambitious in all your endeavors, exemplifying initiative, persistence, and accountability for your outcomes, consistently aspiring to elevate your performance.
- A collaborative spirit. You contribute generously, supporting the best ideas—regardless of their origin—and are always willing to roll up your sleeves to assist your team. Dependability, honesty, and transparency are your core values.
- Fluency in English. Your reading, writing, and speaking skills in English are highly proficient.
Here’s what we offer you:
- An incredibly talented, entrepreneurial work environment. You will collaborate with small, results-driven teams, working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.
- A remarkable growth opportunity. We prioritize hiring individuals with extraordinary potential and positioning them for success. Spooners in their 20s often lead projects valued in the hundreds of millions. If you demonstrate the right talent, you’ll quickly be entrusted with key responsibilities on major projects.
- Competitive compensation and equity opportunities. For those starting their careers, our typical salary is around £83,997 in the UK and €80,457 elsewhere. For candidates with a few years of relevant experience, salaries typically range from £110,389 to £194,964 in the UK and €105,737 to €186,748 in other regions. Compensation grows quickly as you gain experience and amplify your impact. Additionally, you can opt to receive part of your salary in company equity at a discounted rate, enabling you to share in our mutual success. If relocating to Italy, you may benefit from a 50% tax reduction.
- A comprehensive benefits package. Enjoy flexible working hours, remote work options, unlimited support for professional development, top-tier health insurance, an extensive relocation package, generous parental leave, and an annual retreat to an exquisite location. We ensure that every Spooner has the resources they need to thrive.
